Do parents need to attend a driver's ed class in Connecticut?

Parents are required to attend one 2-hour session with a 16 or 17 year old.

At least one parent must attend class with the new driver. Even if a parent has already taken a class with a sibling, they still have to take the class again with each child.

The class must be taken together. If the parent and teen new driver cannot attend the class together, then they should both skip. Credit cannot be given unless the class is attended by both teen and parent at the same time.

Students 18 years old or older are not required to take the parent class.
