Do parents need to attend a driver's ed class in Massachusetts?

This 2-hour class is required for any parent or guardian of a student under 18. It covers Massachusetts driver education rules, state laws, and tips on how to help your teen with supervised driving.

The class must be completed before your teen can start driving or observation lessons.

If you’ve taken a MA Parent Class in the last 5 years, you can use that certificate—just send it to us. If not, we offer the class as part of the Teen Full Driver Education Program.
