How long do I have to hold my learner's permit in Connecticut before I can test for my license?
New Drivers under 18 years old that take the Full Driver Education Bundle must hold a permit for 120 days before testing for a license.
New Drivers under 18 years old that take the 8 Hour Safe Driving Course must hold a permit for 180 days before testing for a license.
New Drivers 18 and over must hold a permit for 90 days, regardless of the program you enroll in.
